Winston Marshall is officially the luckiest guy in the world, because he just married one of our fave ladies ever, Dianna Agron! The Mumford & Sons singer wed Dianna in a destination ceremony on Oct. 15 and we have been freaking out ever since we heard the news! So, who is this awesome guy who has captured our dear Dianna’s heart? Find out right here!
1. Winston Marshall is part of the Grammy-award winning folk band Mumford & Sons.
He is a founding member of the already legendary, award-winning band comprised of him, Marcus Mumford (lead vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboard, piano, synthesizer) and Ted Dwane (vocals, bass guitar, double bass). And don’t think we’re not huge fans, Winston!
2. He knows how to play about a billion instruments.
As part of the band, Winston plays the banjo, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, dobro, and provides backing vocals. Uh, can you say “multitasker”?
3. He popped the question to Dianna Agron over the holidays last year.
Winston proposed to the 30-year-old former Glee actress over the holidays, with a really nice rose cut rock. Of course, we’re not saying that’s why Dianna said yes. But it sure helps that he found such a romantic time of year and a gorgeous ring to do it with. Looks like the pair continued the romantic theme all the way to the wedding day by marrying in that beautiful Moroccan ceremony!
4. He’s British.
Winston was born in England and grew up with a British father and French mother. He went to school in London at St Paul’s School. Who doesn’t love a guy with a British accent?
5. He ran a “jam night” before Mumford & Sons took off.
Before the band really became established, Winston ran a jam night at Bosun’s Locker, a teeny-tiny music club underneath a pastry shop. This totally proves just how cool Winston is, because he ran a space where musicians who loved the same kind of music as he does could hang out and play together. Very, very cool.
