Donald Trump’s campaign has seemingly been falling apart after the now-famous leaked video and the new sexual assault allegations against him — but that doesn’t mean Hillary Clinton is confident she’ll just automatically win the 2016 election. Watch her explain why to Ellen DeGeneres here!
Hillary Clinton, 68, appears on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show Oct. 14, and obviously, Donald Trump, 70, and the 2016 presidential race were main topics of discussion. This was actually the Democratic nominee’s first interview since the shocking new sexual assault accusations against Trump came out, but even with these developments, she still says she’s not certain she’ll win the race.
“Obviously there’s a lot coming out, which is distressing on so many levels,” she tells Ellen. “But I don’t want anybody to think this election’s over. Because it’s been so unpredictable up until now that I’m not taking anything for granted. We’ve got to work really hard for the next three and a half weeks because who knows?! Who knows what can happen. So everybody who’s watching and everybody who has followed this election, please turn out and vote.”
With the election less than a month away, there’s only one presidential debate left for Hillary and Donald to argue their points, and if the last Q&A is any indication, it’s going to get ugly!
The 68-year-old admits to Ellen that debating with Trump is “frustrating” because of his need to “dominate the space” at all times. Plus, she says, he’s constantly spewing “falsehoods,” which doesn’t make it easy for her to debate against him.
“I feel such a sense of obligation to people that I work at trying to make sure what I’m saying is appropriate, is accurate, conveying that to people,” Hillary explains. AMEN!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Hillary is a sure win at the election? Or is she still going to have to work hard campaigning?
