The only thing worse than a breakup is having literally everybody find out about it! Tiger Woods, 40, and Lindsey Vonn, 31, were together for three years before splitting up in 2015. As two highly successful athletes, it’s no surprise that their relationship was thrown under the public eye, which Lindsey says was the hardest part about dating Tiger. “The breakup, being together, it was all really hard,” she revealed to E!. “It was essentially being in a fish bowl. Everybody’s looking at you and judging you and commenting on what they think is right or wrong.”

It must take incredibly thick skin to date someone as famous as Tiger, especially after his 2009 infidelity scandal that had the entire world talking. The golfer eventually owned up to his mistakes in Dec. of that year, admitting that he had an affair and would take a “an indefinite break from professional golf.” Tiger was married to Elin Norgegren at the time, and vowed not to make the same mistake in his future relationships.

Even with the infidelity rumble put to rest, people still loved to talk about Tiger’s romance with Lindsey. Ironically, she managed to use people’s not-so-subtle whispers to her advantage later down the road. “That’s one thing that made me stronger,” she continues to tell the entertainment site. “Being able to block out the noise and block out other people’s opinions, and honestly it doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks as long as you’re happy.” Lindsey goes on to explain that she still loves Tiger as a friend, and they’re on good terms! Yay for friendly exes!
