Billy Bush may be stepping out of the ‘Today’ show role, and into a two-step. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is courting the host, 44, to join the Spring 2017 season, a new report claims.
“It comes in March. That’s far enough away. Everybody goes on to do the apology tour,” a source told Page Six about Billy Bush possibly joining Dancing with the Stars. “It’s ironic there is Ryan Lochte on, who he started this controversy with when he started with Today.”
The newspaper claims that the show has begun courting Billy for season 24, adding that if he is in fact fired from his job at NBC’s Today, this could be a door into a new position with ABC. “It’s a way for ABC to establish a relationship with him,” the source noted.
He’s of course smack in the middle of a controversy with Donald Trump following tapes from 2005 that revealed conversations between the men that included crude comments about women. As we told you, he was extremely upset when the tapes came out.
“Billy was devastated and crying when the leaked tape of him with Donald Trump in 2005 was first leaked to the Washington Post,” Us Weekly reported. “He was crying that his career was over.” Bily has since apologized for his saying that he was “embarrassed and ashamed,” and that he was “younger, less mature, and acted flooishly in the playing around.”
So, do you think Billy would be a good addition to Dancing with the Stars? Let us know!
