This is going to be awesome. MMA fight fans have been waiting for Ronda Rousey, 29, to return to the octagon for over a year. On Oct. 12th it was announced by UFC’s Dana White that Ronda would battle Amanda Nunes, 28, during UFC 207 in a title bout. Dana dropped the big news about the bantamweight fight on The Herd, sports talk show on FS1. The fight will take place on Dec. 30th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dana also touched on Ronda’s last fight, in Nov. 2015, when she was brutally knocked out in the second round by Holly Holm. Dana shared on The Herd that Ronda had a, “bad loss and lost her title but she’s still Ronda Rousey at the end of the day.” MMA fans across the world will be eager to see Ronda tangle with Amanda which might set-up a huge rematch between Ronda and Holly.
Ronda has been keeping a low-profile since her last devastating loss to Holly. She made news when she confessed to Ellen DeGeneres that she had suicidal thoughts after her loss to Holly. As for her future fight plans, during his appearance on The Herd, Dana also mentioned that Ronda wants to step into the ring with Cristiane Justino, aka Cris Cyborg.
