Shailene Woodley is NOT going down without a fight! Following her North Dakota trespassing arrest, the brunette beauty took to Instagram to share her FIRST public words since the incident. Read her poetic message, here.
Shaking off her arrest, Shailene Woodley, 24, is now using Instagram to further protest against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. “One day, baby, we’ll sing our poetry,” she captioned a photo on the app. “The words dripping from our tongues wet with ripened patience, and the lyrics, the sweet fruits born from the seeds our aging hands are now sowing.” Pretty inspirational, don’t you think?

The Divergent actress was arrested on Oct. 10 for trespassing, and was luckily released from Morton County Jail the same day. During her mission, the brunette beauty recorded LIVE footage of her peaceful protest on Facebook to make sure fans knew what was happening. Still, police weren’t impressed by her behavior, and arrested her on the scene. “I was walking back to my RV, which is right there so that we can go back to camp peacefully and they grabbed me by my jacket and said that I was not allowed to continue,” she explained to viewers in the video. Her mug shot was later released, and of course she still managed to look beautiful in an orange jumpsuit! Piper Chapman must be so proud!
We had no idea that Shailene was such a rebel! Trashing the final installment of Divergent was step one, and now with an arrest under her belt, she’s become the ultimate badass. Shailene certainly wasn’t happy about Ascendent heading straight to TV, stating, “I didn’t sign up to be in a television show.” Ouch! Producers might have to change their minds about the film, or Shailene might not be in it at all!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Shailene’s poetic message? Were you moved by it?
