Dante Stallone, the younger, half brother of iconic actor, Sylvester Stallone, was viciously attacked at Florida State University on Oct. 8, and is suffering from serious injuries after the beat down. Get the latest and read Sly’s statement here.
Sylvester Stallone’s younger half brother, Dante Stallone, who is just 19 years old, was beat up by two unidentified men on his school campus Oct. 8. The teenager’s jaw was shattered in the fight, and he’s also suffering from a split palate and knocked out teeth, according to TMZ.
“This is a wonderful young man, a straight-A student who would not cause any trouble,” Sylvester told the site. “It’s just so tragic and terribly sad.” Unfortunately, Dante’s attackers were able to get away and police are still on the hunt for the men who did this.
The 19-year-old is the son of Sly’s dad, Frank Stallone Sr., and his fourth wife. The actor and his little brother are more than 50 years apart and probably aren’t that close, but, obviously, he is upset over learning of this scary attack. The assailants likely didn’t know who they were messing with, though — I mean, they don’t want THE Sly Stallone coming after them, do they?!
Luckily, Dante seems to be recovering and will hopefully be okay once he has some work done on his mouth. After all, the 70-year-old and his family have suffered enough tragedy: Sylvester’s son, Sage, died of heart disease when he was just 36 in 2012, and just six weeks later, his half-sister, Toni Ann, passed away after a battle with lung cancer.
Dante is a biology major at Florida State University and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, according to his Instagram page. We hope he’s okay!
