SLAY! Lin-Manuel Miranda showed off his lyrical flow for ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Oct. 8, treating fans to a hysterical opening monologue in which he DISSED Donald Trump. The ‘Hamilton’ star captivated the audience with his witty jokes!
Is there anything Lin-Manuel Miranda can’t do? The Broadway star, 36, had the audience enthralled as he took the stage in New York City, opening the Oct. 8 show of Saturday Night Live! He definitely left a lasting impression, despite hosting the show for the very first time! Making sure to address the elephant in the room, the Pulitzer Prize-winning actor SLAMMED Donald Trump while rapping his opening monologue! He busted out a few rhymes, “I’ve got an Emmy and a Grammy, yo!” He didn’t stop there, even calling the Republican nominee a “piece of sh*t” with some serious lyrical flow! Lin-Manuel continued, “Well, you never gonna be president now!”

For the opening sketch, they went IN on Donald, mocking the 2005 audio tape that made it’s rounds on Oct. 7, showing him talking about how fame helps him score with women. We knew the NBC comedy show was going to be a hoot this time around, considering the hilarious teaser clip that showed Lin alongside SNL cast member Aidy Bryant doing her best Hamilton freestyle impression! Of course, he couldn’t help but smile when she showed off her vocal prowess. In another amusing clip, the playwright even jokes with Cecily Strong about not being able to get tickets to his ever-so-popular musical show.
Thanks to Lin, the show kicked off with a bang! He’s known for being a jack of all-trades, since he’s even previously showed off his insane rapping skills, and boy, he did not disappoint. Last week, Margot Robbie stopped by and The Weeknd put on a stellar closing performance for the season premiere! So this time, we’re sure fans will be jumping to their feet when musical guest Twenty One Pilots hit the stage. Keep it coming!
