There’s no doubt Kelly Clarkson loves her children, but in a recent interview she admitted that 2 kids — and 2 step kids — are MORE than enough for the busy singer. After all, she did suffer through two very difficult pregnancies. So to guarantee that it would ‘never happen again,’ she hilariously revealed she made her hubby Brandon Blackstock get a vasectomy!
There is NO doubt about it, after giving birth to daughter River Rose, 2, and son Remington Alexander, 5 months, Kelly Clarkson, 34, is officially finished having children! And she could not be happier about it! The American Idol winner joined Jenny McCarthy, 43, on her Sirius XM show, The Jenny McCarthy Show on Oct. 6, and revealed that not only did she get her tubes tied after Remy’s birth in April, but she made her husband, Brandon Blackstock, 39, get fixed too! One can never be too careful, right?
“I was literally pregnant with Remy, and I was like, ‘You are getting fixed. This will never happen to me again,'” Kelly dished. “If something happens, it’s a miracle of God. I literally told my OBGYN on the table while open, ‘If I get pregnant again, I will find you!'”
The singer is also a step-mother to Brandon’s eldest children, Seth, 9, and Savannah, 15. But while she was pregnant with her two biological kids, she told Jenny that she had a very difficult time. “It’s horrible. Nothing is beautiful, nothing is magical,” Kelly said. “Whatever, you’re that person that gets that pregnancy, good for you. I will remind my children every day of their lives what I [went through].”

So after going through one rough pregnancy, what made Kelly want to do it all over again? Turns out, she wanted her daughter to have a friend — aw! “I was, like, hospitalized both pregnancies,” she said on-air. “I wanted another little buddy [for River]. I didn’t want a kid to just be an odd man out because I felt like that a lot. I wanted her to have somebody her age, like when we’re traveling. And so I thought, ‘OK, we’ll just do it again.’ I was like, ‘There’s no way it can happen again,’ but it was worse. Remi’s pregnancy was worse than River’s.”
Kelly even joked with Ellen DeGeneres, 58, on her talkshow about having more kids, while promoting her new book on Oct. 4. “Yeah,” she said on the show, before quickly correcting herself. “No, not kids. I thought you meant books! Ah! My husband full on just had a heart attack. No. We have four because I married into two. So we have a 15-, 9-, 2[-year-old] and 5-month-old … I already have days where I cry, so we don’t need any more kids. It’s a lot.”
