As Kim Kardashian cancels public appearances and heads to therapy in the aftermath of her terrifying Oct. 3 Paris robbery, an investigation of the matter is continuing over in France. The French President François Hollande is ‘personally’ involving himself in the investigation, according to an Oct. 5 report — get all of the new details right here!
Kim Kardashian, 35, is at the center of even more attention than usual thanks to her horrifying experience in France during Paris Fashion Week, and now sources tell Page Six that French President François Hollande is helping officials hunt for the robbers who held the reality star at gunpoint before making off with millions of dollars in jewelry. Hollande “is personally involved in the investigation”, insiders say, and he has pledged to provide “additional security on [Kim’s] behalf next time she is in France”. Well, that’s nice of him.
The newspaper adds that “French authorities will be embarrassed if the five masked men are not caught” due to the massive publicity the case has received, and the President is personally invested because he “wants celebrities [to] return to, and feel safe, in Paris”. That’s definitely good motivation to catch the thieves!
Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo, an ally of Hollande, also condemned the assault and told local news channel France 24 that Kim “always be welcome in Paris”. Hidalgo added that she’s confident the police will catch the suspects in no time, and that the robbery “in no way calls into question police work or security of public space” in Paris. Well, you can’t deny that it shouldn’t have happened in the first place, but we’re just glad that Kim was left physically unharmed!
