This is great news! Toni Braxton is feeling better after her Lupus scare and will be hitting the road again, and soon! The singer has announced that her illness is something she lives with, but it doesn’t seem it will be stopping her from doing what she loves! Check out what Toni had to say to her fans about going back on tour, right here.
“I am so excited about going back on the road and seeing all of my wonderful fans and friends,” Toni Braxton, 48, said in a statement on Oct. 5. “Everyone’s life is complicated and this is just a condition that I live with.” Toni was referencing Lupus, an illness she was diagnosed with in 2010, and for which she was hospitalized on Oct. 3. Toni has since been released from the hospital and is resting at home in Los Angeles, and we couldn’t be happier to hear that she is well and ready to go back to doing what she loves!
The Grammy award-winning singer will begin her upcoming U.S. tour in Detroit on Oct. 12. The tour was originally scheduled to begin on Oct. 8 in Oakland, but now that show, and the Oct. 9 L.A. concert, have been postponed until Jan. 28 and 29, respectively. Tickets that were purchased for those dates will be honored on the new ones. So, no worries California fans, Toni hasn’t forgotten about you!
We are so happy to hear that Toni is doing well and feels up to heading out on the road. We hope that she doesn’t over do it though, as she needs to take good care of herself and make her health her top priority. But, with how supportive Toni’s fans have been over the past few days, we know they will be super understanding of her needs while on tour.
