Is the WWE ready to smell what The Gronk is cooking? Rob Gronkowski may be trading his New England Patriots uniform for a pair of spandex trunks, as Mojo Rawley claims the NFL star can’t wait to step inside the WWE ring! Click to watch.
“Trust me, we’ve had that conversation many times – me and [Rob Gronkowski, 27],” Mojo, 30, said while appearing on Good Morning San Diego, per The Score. When talking about the New England Patriots tight end, Mojo said that Gronk’s ready to join the WWE as the next big Superstar. “He’s dying to get into the ring.”
Wow! The WWE Universe is about to get Gronked! Mojo (real name Dean Muhtadi) definitely would be the man with the inside scoop, as he was a former defensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals before he joined the WWE. But, even before the NFL, he and the Gronkowski family were tight!
“I played college football with a couple of his older brothers – Dan and Chris,” Mojo said. “We all kind of grew up together, we all came up together. We’ve all been on the ground for a very long time.” While Mojo’s pretty off the chain when he and his fellow Hype Bro, Zack Ryder, 31, are in action, he promised to take it to the next level with Gronk. “Wait until you see me and Rob together. You can barely handle me!”
Gronk may not be stepping into a WWE ring until the NFL season is over, but he hasn’t been lighting up the scoreboard so far. Gronk’s been dealing with a hamstring injury and he’s reportedly not 100%, per NESN. He’s only had one catch over the past two games, but with Tom Brady, 39, returning for the Oct. 9 game against the Cleveland Browns, Gronk might start playing like his old self.
WWE Superstar is not the only possible second career for Rob. During the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards, Gronk joined Ciara, 30, to bust out some moves to Rihanna’s “Work.” If squad dancer doesn’t work out, he could always become “Rob Gronkowski, Amateur Psychologist,” as he displayed his counseling skills on Margot Robbie, 26, during the 2016 ESPYs. Smackdowns, touchdowns and psychoanalysis? Gronk can do it all.
