Grab your tissues. Dove Cameron, 20, and Ryan McCartan, 22, will no longer be walking down the aisle. The Disney stars have decided to amicably part ways, less than six months after he popped the question to his adoring girlfriend. The hunky actor took to Twitter to reveal the devastating news, letting his 120k followers know their split was her choice. He wrote, “Dove has decided this relationship isn’t what she wants,” but he did console their fans. “We still love each other very much. Please be sensitive, as this is painful.” Our hearts go out to him!

Ryan previously admitted that they werent in a rush to exchange their vows, given they both have busy schedules with their successful careers. The Rocky Horror Picture Show actor dished about why they held off the ceremony in Sept., saying, “She’s so busy. I’m so busy,” during his interview with E! News. “The last thing we want to do is turn it into another thing on the to-do list, you know what I mean “I mean, we’re infants—we’re children—so we have a lot of time to plan and get it done, and it’ll happen when it’s supposed to.”

This news has definitely got to be tough for all to endure, since it was only a short while ago that Ryan proposed to the blonde beauty. He revealed the big news in a heartfelt Instagram post on April 14, writing, “Dedicating my 1,000th post to my fiancée. I can’t believe I get to call you that. Thanks for saying yes.” Dove even told us EXCLUSIVELY how well the relationship was going in June saying, “I mean for me at least, I don’t know if it is a universal thing but just knowing that there is someone out there that loves you enough that they want to be like… ‘You forever, your it… done!’ It just makes me feel like I am walking on air!
