Uh oh! Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell got engaged at the end of ‘The Bachelor,’ but it sounds like there’s already trouble in paradise — the couple is in counselling already! They explained EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com why, right here.
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have only been engaged for a few months, since Ben proposed on the finale of The Bachelor. So why are they in couples therapy already?! “In terms of going to counseling I think that has nothing to do with the show,” Ben and Lauren revealed EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com. “It is more so for us to set a really strong foundation before we start planning a date for the wedding.”
The couple loves each other so much, they want to make sure they’re rock solid before the big day. “Before we walk down the aisle, we really want to make sure that we have a third party that can help us work through some of our issues and how to be better in communication,” they said. “It has really been great for us and I am sure we will continue to do it even after we are married!” Yay! See? Therapy isn’t just for troubled couples, it’s all a part of relationship maintenance so they can be happy together forever!
The couple first revealed to People that they were doing counselling together at their church ahead of the premiere of their new reality show Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? “Bachelor or not, our life is not easy to navigate,” said Ben. “We have our struggles. But we won’t give up. And for every argument, we’re stronger for it.” So sweet!
