After Lindsay Lohan got her ring finger chopped off in a terrifying boating accident, the actress is viewing her life in a completely different way. HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY how this horrible incident has changed her mindset.
It’s likely been an intense few days after Lindsay Lohan, 30, got her finger sliced off in a freak boating accident, and now, she’s focusing more than ever on her mental recovery. “She is taking this incident and moving on from it because though it sucks and hurt like hell she’s alive and is thankful that it didn’t do anymore damage,” a source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “She appreciates things more nowadays and wants to live her life the best she can.”
We are really happy to hear that Lindz is staying so positive after her scary ordeal. We can’t even imagine the horror she faced on Oct. 2, when she got her hand tangled in a boat anchor. The blade immediately tore off the tip of her finger, but luckily, her friends found the detached part and doctors were able to successfully reattach it!
Not only is the Mean Girls star happy that doctors were able to fix her finger — she also has a new life perspective, focusing on remaining healthy. “She has a much healthier lifestyle, she is still trying to kick the cigarettes but she is no longer the liability she was a few years ago when she dominated the headlines,” our insider continues. “She drinks less, parties less and is trying to stay clear from controversy. It obviously peeks its head back into frame from time to time but thankfully her drama filled life has had more normal days to it. She is still trying to grow up and learn from her past and it is working more and more.”
