Fans who wanted to see Kanye West in Philadelphia or Detroit this week will have to change their schedules: The rapper has cancelled two dates on his tour to be with Kim Kardashian after she was attacked and robbed in France. Find out when they’ll be rescheduled here.
Kanye West, 39, is not leaving Kim Kardashian’s side after her terrifying experience in Paris on Oct. 3. The reality star jetted to New York City to be with her husband and kids just hours after she was held at gunpoint, tied up and robbed, and now, ‘Ye has made major changes to his schedule to comfort her after the horrific ordeal.
The rapper’s Saint Pablo tour was expected to stop at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia on Oct. 4 and at the Palace at Auburn Hills in Detroit in Oct. 6, but both dates have been rescheduled, for Dec. 13 and Dec. 22, respectively. Live Nation has assured fans that their tickets will still be valid on those dates, and say the tour cancellation was due to “family concerns.”
Obviously, we’ve been following along very closely about what those family concerns are, and it’s completely understandable that Kanye would want to take this time to be with his family. The 39-year-old was actually in the middle of performing in New York City when he learned of his wife’s robbery in Paris, and cut the show short, letting the crowd know he had a “family emergency” to tend to.
Kim was pulled out of bed with a gun to her head by five men in the middle of the night on Oct. 3. As she feared rape, the attackers tied her hands and ankles, duct-taped her mouth and locked her in the bathroom while they raided her apartment, stealing a $6.4 million jewelry box and $4.3 million ring, which Kim reportedly told the police they specifically asked her for. Once they left, the reality star was able to escape, physically unharmed, but the fear she’s still facing is obviously very, very real.
HollywoodLifers, are you surprised that Kanye rescheduled his tour? Do you think he’ll end up cancelling more dates?
