Demi Lovato has fired shots at Taylor Swift once again! The ‘Cool For The Summer’ singer puts Taylor and the infamous ‘Bad Blood’ music video on blast in a new interview, defending Katy Perry all the while. See what Demi had to say right here!
Demi Lovato, 24, is never one to hold back, and she was all too happy to take on Taylor Swift‘s feud with Katy Perry, 31, in her cover story interview for the November 2016 issue of Glamour magazine. Demi dissed Taylor by bringing up her “Bad Blood” music video and ongoing rift with Katy: “I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment.” As you may recall, Demi has referred to Taylor as a “self-proclaimed feminist” in the past, and not in a nice way.
As she’s said about Taylor before: “There are women that I don’t get along with, and that’s fine. My thing is, don’t brand yourself a feminist if you don’t do the work.” So Demi dissing Taylor is nothing new, but we have to say, it’s a little surprising that she’s bringing Katy into it now, too!
Demi also took on Taylor’s iconic girl group. “To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body,” Demi added, referencing how Taylor’s friend group of gorgeous models and starlets — including Selena Gomez, 24, Cara Delevingne, 24, Gigi Hadid, 21, and Karlie Kloss, 24 — contains just “one type of body”.
“It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real,” Demi added.
