OMG this is such great news! Our favorite Charlie Puth is going to be joining ‘The Voice’ Oct. 10 just in time for the battle rounds. But you’re never going to guess which of the four judges picked him to be their musical advisor! Click through to find out which team he’s going to be coaching!
YES!!!! Charlie Puth, 24, has signed on to help mentor contestants as they head into the most heated part of the competition on The Voice. and he joining……DRUMROLL PLEASE….Team Alicia Keys! The 35-year-old has selected the “Marvin Gaye” singer to help her get her team prepped for battle rounds, which are about to get underway. It was a super smart move of the new judge to pick a young pop sensation as her mentor, as he will bring such a fresh and interesting take to her contestants’ song renditions.

All three other judges picked way older but more seasoned mentors to help their teams out. Adam Levine, 36, selected former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, 68 to prep his team and it looks like he wants them to go in a hard driving direction by having the Red Rocker on board.
Blake Shelton, 40, also went with a legend, bringing on Bette Midler, 70, to give her amazing worldly wisdom to his contestants. From her always witty and snarky weets, we know she’s going to be a totally straight shooter when it comes to giving feedback to his team! In the promo she’s already seen telling a contestant that he doesn’t have enough energy coming out of him and to, “Show some spunk!” Blake confessed that he totally shot for the stars when he reached out to her people about doing it and was absolutely stunned when she agreed.
Miley Cyrus made one of the most interesting choices of all, bringing legendary rocker Joan Jett, 58, aboard as a mentor to give her team and edgy vibe. She calls Joan her “idol” and even does a duet of “Bad Reputation” with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer as sen in the promo clip. Man, this is shaping up to be such an epic season!
HollywoodLifers, who do you think will make the best mentor: Charlie, Sammy, Bette or Joan?
