After a magical Cirque du Soleil night, where we saw the first perfect score of the season, the October 4 episode of ‘DWTS’ delivered a brutal double elimination… and a surprise proposal! Read our recap below!
The first ever Cirque Du Soleil night gave us four 10 paddles from the judges, but unfortunately, Oct. 4 was the night we had to send two more couples home.
The night kicked off with a fun performance of “Body Moves” by DNCE.
After a commercial, there was a beautiful contemporary dance by Emma Slater and Sasha Farber to “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars.
THEN, OUT OF NOWHERE, Sasha proposed!!! I immediately burst into tears!
So sweet! Congrats to the happy couple!
After everyone regained their composure from the emotional proposal, Maks, Val, Gleb, Artem and Alan performed a sexy, intense number to “Ain’t No Sunshine.”
Then, unfortunately, Allison Holker & Babyface were eliminated. It wasn’t surprising after their tango last night that was all kinds of wrong. But sad to see them go, regardless.
The fast-paced night continued with a ridiculous performance from Derek Hough, who played the drums while dancing at the same time…??? It happened, people! Also, he was shirtless, so THANK YOU, DEREK.
Then, Zara Larsson performed “Never Forget You” with some talented pro dancers on the stage.
Unfortunately, Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson, Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko, and James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess were all in jeopardy.
In the end, Vanilla Ice and Witney were sent packing. Pretty shocking!
HollywoodLifers, are you happy with the results of the double elimination?
