Oh, no! Toni Braxton has been hospitalized for complications related to Lupus. This isn’t the first trip the singer has made to the hospital for her disease, but an Oct. 3 report says that this time, her condition is ‘serious’. Get all of the heartbreaking details right here.
Toni Braxton, 48, if recovering at home after a Lupus exacerbation forced her to spend four days in a Los Angeles, CA, hospital. An initial TMZ report said the singer was “in serious condition stemming from her battle with lupus.” New info reveals Toni was initially seen by an Atlanta doctor, before flying to LA where she was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Her boyfriend Birdman, AKA Bryan Williams, 47, hopped on a plane from Texas — cutting his worldwide Radiobirdman Tour with Jacquees short — to be with her as soon as he heard the shocking news. Toni and Birdman began seriously dating in June 2016, and we’re sure he’s devastated that Toni is in the hospital.
Toni told fans about her diagnosis in 2010, and she was hospitalized in January and December of 2012 for the autoimmune disease. “Hey guys, I’m in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots, I will be home soon…Thanks for all the love&support! Xoxo,” the “Unbreak My Heart” singer tweeted at the time of her second hospitalization. She made a full recovery both times, and it’s a shame to hear that she’s back in the hospital once again.
Toni was honored at the BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta in September 2016, and received the BMI’s President Award. She looked stunning in a white dress with sheer details, and wore a huge smile the entire night. We wish her a speedy recovery.
