The teams are complete! After one final night of Blind Auditions, every coach on Season 11 of ‘The Voice’ has 12 artists to represent them on the show. Check out our recap for the scoop on everything that went down in the Oct. 3 episode here!
First up are Shannon & Whitney, sisters, who are also the season’s only duo. Their performance of “Landslide” totally blows the coaches away, especially once they realize midway through that there’s two people singing. All four of them turn around and are totally entranced by what their witnessing, but the gals can only pick one — and they go with Alicia Keys!
Johnny Rez, 25, is the next artist to take the stage. He opens up about his past struggle with drugs, but has clearly come a long way from those troubling days, and has now been sober for five years. He performs “Iris,” and just when it seems like no one is going to turn around, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton push their buttons at the last minute. In the end, Johnny chooses Adam as his coach.
Next up is Maye Thomas, whose dad is a country radio show host in Oklahoma — so this definitely sounds like someone for Team Blake, right?! He doesn’t turn around, though, but Adam and Miley Cyrus do, and they battle it out to nab Maye. It’s not much of a competition, though, and even Adam isn’t surprise when he chooses the rookie coach!
The next singer is Johnny Hayes, 28, who sings “Traveller,” but unfortunately, it’s not quite what the four coaches are looking for. No one turns around, but they do give him constructive advice before he leaves.
Next up is Courtney Harrell, 36, a songwriter who’s written for stars like Jennifer Hudson and Mary J Blige, but is now looking to make it as a singer. She absolutely nails her performance of “Let It Go,” and Blake and Alicia push their buttons excitedly. After they both give their pitches, though, she picks the country singer as her coach! He also landed pop singer Tara Layne on his team, while Miley added Charity Bowden, Adam picked up JSoul and Alicia nabbed Belle Jewel.
Kylie Rothfield is the next singer to perform. She sings a unique, soulful rendition of One Republic’s “Wherever I Go,” and gets Blake and Alicia to turn around at the very last second, prompting another battle between the two coaches. Kylie chooses Alicia, and with that, the newbie completes her team of 12.
Next up, we get to see a familiar face — Full House star, Candace Cameron-Bure’s, daughter, Natasha, is auditioning, and her mom is there by her side to offer support! Although Natasha’s nerves are evident, Adam is still confident in her singing abilities, and is the only coach to push his button, meaning she’s automatically on his team.
Blaine Long, 40, is the next artist to take the stage, and he sings “Have A Little Faith In Me” by John Hiatt, and gets the remaining three coaches, Blake, Miley and Adam, to turn around. Blaine picks Blake as his coach, which completes the four-time champion’s team for Season 11.
The next singer is Nicholas Ray, who performs “I Got The Music In Me,” but unfortunately, doesn’t quite impress Miley or Adam enough to get them to turn. Ponciano Seoane is hoping for better luck with his performance of “Home,” and this time, both remaining coaches are interested right off the bat. But Ponciano can only pick one of the two, and he goes with Adam, capping off his team.
It’s now up to Miley to choose her last team member, and she skips through a series of artists before finding the right person. Josette Diaz, 17, is the gal to finally impress her with an incredible performance of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” and now — the teams are complete!
