OMG it was Team Trump vs. Team Hillary on ‘Family Feud’ — sorry, we mean the season premiere of ‘SNL’ on Oct. 1 — and it was AMAZING. Guest host Margot Robbie portrayed Ivanka Trump, Larry David killed it as Bernie Sanders and Kenan Thompson, as host Steve Harvey, was along for the ride. Get the scoop on the crazy sketch here!
Okay, here we go. Saturday Night Live pitted Team Hillary against Team Trump in a game of Family Feud in the sketch show’s season premiere, and the matches up were absolutely hilarious. On Team Hillary Clinton? Sarah Silverman, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bernie Sanders and Bill Clinton. And Team Donald Trump? Ivanka Trump, Kellyanne Conway, Chris Christie and Vladimir Putin. Ya we know, the BEST. LINEUPS. EVER. Then, it was on.
Kenan Thompson as host Steve Harvey, asked Bernie, played by his look-a-like Larry David, to name a reason why he’d be late. “You need a reason I’m late? Look at me? Everywhere I go it looks like I just finished chasing a bus,” he said, to a round of crazy laughter from the audience. Kenan then asked Bernie, we mean Larry, if Team Hillary wanted to pass or play and they said play, to which he waved them off. “Ya, good for them, we’re gonna pass,” making it clear Bernie, we mean LARRY, knows what he thinks Hillary’s team should be doing. Hysterical!
And though Larry did kinda steal the show, it wasn’t all about Bernie, with Darrell Hammond‘s famous Bill impression hitting on Margot Robbie impersonating Ivanka. We couldn’t believe how much she cleaned up to look like her! Although, Kenan as Steve, took note, saying “Oh, you sexy. Yeah. I know that might sound inappropriate, but if your daddy can say it, so can I.” Ouch. Sorry, Donald.
