JJ Watt, 27, wants you to #BurnItToEarnIt! One Gatorade fan learns this the hard way in this Sept. 22 commercial, when he tries to enjoy his beverage without doing any cardio first. The Houston Texans star keeps him in line using his most marketable skill: tackling. WATCH above!
Oh, and here’s a gif for your enjoyment:
In the ad, JJ and two sports commentators hop out of the back of a truck and survey the street. A man, who is labeled “Some guy”, walks by holding a bottle of Gatorade, and the announcers start their voiceover. “And down the field comes a man with a bottle of Gatorade,” one narrates. “Not a drop of sweat on him,” the other points out. “You expect a little bit more out of a Gatorade drinker.” Out of nowhere, JJ leaps into the frame and tackles the guy into a pile of trash bags. Ha!
“Ooh, a devastating hit by JJ Watts,” the commentator says. “You can’t just waltz through here with a bottle of Gatorade you didn’t sweat for. Everybody knows that!”
“Evidently not,” the other announcer laughs. JJ then chases the guy around the block, to comedic effect, as the commentators continue their coverage. “JJ comes from behind with his giant arm and swats it out of his tiny, normal-sized human hand!” Amazing.
