Chris Brown has had ENOUGH of people dragging his name through the mud and questioning his parenting skills. So much so that he took matters into his own hands! In an emotional social media rant, the artist addressed reports that he’s being investigated by Child Services, and made it VERY clear he ‘fully’ takes care of his daughter Royalty.
Chris Brown, 27, insisted that he’s a good parent to daughter Royalty, 2, in a video he posted to Twitter on Sept. 22, but then later took down. In the now-deleted clip, which can be viewed above, Chris expresses how sick and tired he is of people believing every negative thing they hear about him. “You know it’s false,” he told his audience.
Reports that he’s being investigated by Child Protective Services after being arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon last month, is what sparked the hip-hop artist to make the vid. “Somebody make an accusation, 90 percent of y’all believe it, and it’s bulls—,” he said. “The last three weeks or whatever been going on with the accusations, you know it’s false.”
“I don’t get the benefit of the doubt as everybody else,” Chris continued in his rant. “I take great pride in being a father. I love my daughter. All these allegations and bulls—, stop lying bro.” Clearly Chris does not like being messed with! “I take care of my daughter fully,” he added.
The drama started when Chris was involved in a nine-hour standoff with police at his mansion last month after a woman, Baylee Curran, called 911 claiming he had allegedly threatened her with a gun. Chris ended up getting arrested that same day, but was later released from jail after posting $250,000.
After all of that went down, TMZ reported that Nia Guzman, the mother of little Royalty, filed a complaint against Chris with the Department of Child & Family Services. Yikes! The report even claimed that Chris is only allowed to have supervised visits with Royalty now. But in Chris’ rant, he made it seem like none of that was true! Looks like we’ve got a he said/she said case on our hands.
Child Protective Services showed up at Chris’ house on Sept. 22 after Nia filed her complaint. They showed up to reportedly check on the 2-year-old’s well-being, following Baylee’s accusation that Chris allegedly pulled a gun on her. Chris was supposed to appear in court on Sept. 20, but authorities missed the deadline and still haven’t presented a file to the district attorney.
Tell us, HollywoodLifers — do you believe Chris? Do you think he’s a great dad to little Royalty?
