Hillary Clinton went on Zach Galifianakis’ famously weird interview show ‘Between Two Ferns’, and it was as awkward/funny as could be. The biggest OMG-moment came when Zach worked in a Donald Trump diss, asking Hillary if, like Trump, she’s ever thought about making her campaign more racist! Watch the crazy interview here.
Hillary Clinton, 68, brought an expert display of side-eye to Zach Galifianakis‘ show Between Two Ferns, gamely responding to Zach’s oddball questions. The interview starts out with Zach asking Hillary if she’s pumped to be the first “girl president”, and reminds her that “for a younger, younger generation you will also become their first white president, so that’s pretty cool, too”. Then it gets interesting: “When you see how well it works for Donald Trump, do you ever think ‘Oh, I should be more racist?'” he asks Hillary, referring to her campaign. WATCH Hillary’s priceless reaction right here:
Zach also asks Hillary if she would leave America if Trump wins, but the Democratic nominee tells him that she’ll stay here and “try to prevent him from destroying the United States”. Well, someone has to. “So you’re gonna lead the civil war?” Zach deadpans. “No, I wouldn’t take up arms. I think that might be a little extreme,” Hillary says.
Finally, Zach airs a commercial for Trump during an ad break, and Hillary asks why he’d run it during their interview. “He paid me in steaks,” Zach replies. Hillary’s response is pure gold: “I’d be afraid to eat them if I were you.”
HollywoodLifers, be sure to watch the full interview above and tell us what you think — did Zach cross the line by suggesting Hillary make her campaign racist to compete with Trump, or was that a good zinger?
