Happy first day of fall! Without further ado, here are the best drink recipes for you to mix up and celebrate the Autumnal Equinox with!
Cruzan® Black Diamond Swizzle
Recipe by Jane Danger, NYC
1 1/2 parts Cruzan® Black Strap Rum
1/2 part Bitter Red Liqueur [Note: this is the generic term for Campari]
3/4 part Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 part Simple Syrup
2 Fresh Strawberries
Muddle two strawberries in the bottom of a Belgian beer glass with the red bitter liqueur and fill with cracked or crushed ice. Then, in a cocktail shaker combine fresh lime juice and simple syrup. Whip and shake with no ice. Pour lime juice and cane mixture over ice, and fill again as needed. Gently float Cruzan® Black Strap Rum on top. Garnish with berries and lime.
Fogo Brazilian Quentão
2 cups Malbec wine
1 cup Water
½ cup Sugar
1/3 cup fresh ginger
2 Cinnamon sticks
Cloves and Star Anise for garnish (optional)
Place wine, water and sugar into medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Slice one orange and lime in half and add to pan. Peel fresh ginger, cut into small pieces, and add to pan. Add remaining ingredients to pan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved. Reduce heat and let boil for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from heat, strain and allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with an orange twist, cinnamon stick (and star anise/cloves if using) and serve warm. Makes 4 drinks.
2 parts HAVANA CLUB Añejo Clásico Puerto Rican Rum
¾ parts MARTINI & ROSSI sweet vermouth
½ part Amaro
2 dashes orange bitters
Stir all ingredients vigorously with plenty ice until very cold, strain into a rocks glass with an ice sphere. Garnish with an orange peel.
The Sparkling Apple
1.5 oz Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva
.5 oz Hard Cider
Method: Stirred, served on the rocks with a blackberry & green apple stirring stick in a rocks glass.
3 oz. Horchata
2 oz. Blue Nectar Añejo Founder’s Blend
¾ oz. Cointreau
¼ oz. Allspice Dram
Shake all ingredients and strain into a brandy snifter. Garnish with grated nutmeg on top.
Green Tea Toddy
1 Part Crisp Apple Sparkling Ice
1 Part Bourbon
Star Anise to Garnish
Heat bourbon, green tea bag and Crisp Apple Sparkling Ice until hot and tea has steeped. Remove bag and pour into a toddy glass. Add lemon slice and star anise to garnish.
Hornitos® LA MAN-ZANA
1 part Hornitos® Spiced Honey
1 part apple cider
½ part lemon juice
4 parts Mexican lager
Combine all ingredients except Mexican lager in a shaker, shake vigorously, strain over fresh ice and add Mexican lager.

1.5 oz. Hangar 1 Straight Vodka
1 oz. fresh green apple juice
0.5 oz. lime juice Ginger beer
Apple fan garnish
Shake all ingredients over ice. Garnish with an apple fan garnish.
Dark, Stormy, & Cidery
2 oz. dark rum, preferably Goslings
½ oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. chilled apple cider
3 oz. chilled Q Ginger Beer
1 apple slice
1 lime wedge
Sauza® Minted Mule
1 part Sauza® Signature Blue Silver Tequila
1/2 part lime juice
3 parts ginger beer
Add all ingredients to a copper cup and stir. Add ice to the cup and stir again. Garnish with mint leaves.
STK LA’s Apple Bottom
1 oz Bacardi Rum
2.5 oz Rekorderlig Pear OR Angry Orchard Cider
2 oz Pinot Grigio OR Pinot Noir
1 oz Cinnamon Simple Syrup
Glass: Wine glass
Garnish: Dragonfruit slice (with stem), an Orange Slice, and assorted fruit.
Build drink in glass over ice and stir.
Hard Rock Cafe’s Rush on the Rocks
2½ oz apple juice
1½ oz Crown Royal Maple Whisky
1½ oz sweet and sour mix
¾ oz Monin Spiced Brown Sugar
Speared lemon wedge
Cajun seasoning for rim
