Brad Pitt maintains he’s innocent! Three days after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the ‘Fight Club’ actor, we learned Brad is under investigation by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services for allegedly abusing one of his children on the couple’s private plane. But sources say Brad is not an abuser!
Brad Pitt is reportedly cooperating with the investigation and maintains “he did not commit any abuse of his children,” a source told PEOPLE. A source told the publication that Brad has “always been stricter” when it comes to parenting the couple’s six kids, and that was a factor in his split with Angelina Jolie, but he never committed abuse.
“They always had disagreements when it came to disciplining the kids,” the source explained, adding that, “He has wanted the kids to have more structure. Brad will get frustrated sometimes and yell at the kids.”
However, “I have never seen any physical abuse” by Brad or Angelina, the source added.
Angelina is said to have a “more relaxed attitude” when it comes to disciplining the kids. Brad would often want rules to be in place, but Angelina “would plea, or not make the kids follow though.”
Wow. No wonder they ended up splitting up. The “good cop/bad cop” routine probably didn’t work very well with raising their six kids.
As we previously told you, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad on Monday, Sept. 19, but she listed their date of separation as Sept. 15. In her filing, Angelina requested sole physical custody of the kids.
“Brad is an incredibly loving father, and like most parents he understands that discipline and accountability are an important part of parenting,” the source further told PEOPLE before adding, “The kids get out of control and the house was a constant chaos. But the “differences and arguments” Brad and Angelina had about their kids “seemed very normal. They would disagree. It never seemed it would be the cause for a divorce though.”
Brad and Angelina have six kids together — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
