The LAPD reportedly spoke with Brad Pitt after shocking claims of child abuse were allegedly made against him…but will he face charges? HollywoodLife.com has the latest straight from the police department.

“LAPD is not handling any report of child abuse for Mr. Brad Pitt,” the LAPD told. HollywoodLife.com.  The department added, “We don’t have anything on Brad Pitt right now,” to Us Weekly. “We have confirmed with the detectives, and according to our detectives, there are no active investigations regarding Brad Pitt.”

The actor was reportedly interviewed by officers after an alleged violent incident on Sept. 14, according to CNN, but it seems they did not find anything substantial enough to launch an official investigation. During the incident in question, Brad allegedly got drunk, then became verbally and physically abusive toward his children while on a plane. However, those close to the actor continue to maintain his innocence.

“He is taking this very seriously and he’s cooperated,” a source told CNN. “He has always worked hard to be a good father and wants to do whatever is best for his family.” Based on this insider knowledge, it seems like the 52-year-old cooperated with police when this all allegedly went down. Despite original reports that Brad is “being investigated,” the LAPD has now made it clear that there is no ongoing investigation.

Still, Angelina Jolie, 41, filed for divorce earlier this week, listing the date of separation as Sept. 15, just one day after the alleged incident. In a brief statement, she confirmed that she’d made the decision for the “health of her family,” and she’s also asked for sole physical custody of the six kids in her divorce papers.

HollywoodLifers, do you think charges will ever be filed against Brad? Do you think he will ever be investigated for these claims, or are they far too absurd?
