There’s a lot Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert probably don’t agree on — they are divorced, after all! — but there’s no denying they both have a major appreciation for country music. They proved it, too, by joining some of the other biggest names in the genre for the ‘Country Music 50’ music video, and you can watch right here!
Less than two months ahead of the 50th annual Country Music Association Awards, some of the biggest names in country music teamed up to record the song “Forever Country,” and now, they’re all featured in the music video. The four-minute track is a medley of “Take Me Home Country Road” by John Denver, “I Will Always Love You” by Dolly Parton and “On The Road Again” by Willie Nelson.
And even though they went through a pretty brutal divorce last year, Miranda Lambert, 32, and Blake Shelton, 40, both lent their voices and faces to the video, even appearing in the same frame at one point! But it’s highly likely they didn’t have to interact to shoot the footage, as it seems all the artists filmed their parts separately before they were cut together. No awkward run-ins this time, you guys — sorry to disappoint!
Besides Dolly, Willie, Miranda and Blake, other big-name artists featured in the video include Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire and George Strait among plenty of others.
The clip premiered during the Sept. 20 episode of Dancing With The Stars, but you can watch the full thing above — and make sure you stick with HollywoodLife.com for coverage of the CMA Awards on Nov. 2!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of the “Forever Country 50” video? Were you shocked to see Miranda and Blake on screen together?
