Just 5 months after giving birth, Chrissy Teigen looks better than ever. See how she dropped her baby weight by working out, and still indulging in her favorite, decadent foods.
Chrissy Teigen, 30, gave birth to Luna in April and is bouncing back from her baby weight in stride.
When she was pregnant back in November 2015, she admitted on her talk show The Fab Life: “My whole life I’ve had to watch my weight. I’ve weighed myself three to five times a day since I was 15 years old. Some call it discipline, but it’s actually, like, a neurosis. It’s horrible. So now, it’s nice to just kind of let loose and not have to care so much.”
As for a “quick fix,” she admits there isn’t one.
“I had done many cleanses — juice, Master Cleanse sh*t. I just start freaking out. I start wanting things I’d never want. If I’m on a cleanse and I see a halal cart, I’m like ‘Holy sh*t I need halal!’ But I don’t want halal. I don’t care about halal. So I give myself what I crave and then I’m fine,” Chrissy told ELLE back in February 2015.
Chrissy is known for her indulgent cooking, but she does balance it with salads and lots of protein and vegetables. She also watches portion sizes. It’s also about staying active and keeping your metabolism up: “I worked out more pregnant than I ever did not pregnant,” Chrissy told PEOPLE.
As far as losing the baby weight, Chrissy admits: “You just realize you have to give yourself time and understand that you push out a baby, and it took this long to put on the weight, and it’s not going to peel right off, and that’s OK,” she told E! in July. “Because listen, you shouldn’t have to rush to shed anything. It’s OK! It’s fine. Enjoy your baby. Don’t go crazy.”
Hear, hear, Chrissy!
