Talk about an amazing collaboration! In the middle of Thomas Rhett’s Iowa City concert on Aug. 27, he brought out an Iowa native to help him sing a Garth Brooks classic: Ashton Kutcher! Watch a video of the epic duet right here!
Ashton may be living the celebrity lifestyle now, but he went back to his country roots thanks to country star Thomas Rhett! The 26-year-old singer surprised Ashton’s hometown crowd in Iowa City by bringing the 38-year-old actor to the stage to sing the third verse of “Friends In Low Places,” and it was obviously nothing short of incredible. Ashton’s singing isn’t even half bad!
“Do the Hawkeyes got my back on this one?” Ashton yelled to the crowd as he walked out. “One verse, one time, Iowa style. Let’s do it.” Watch Ashton’s performance with Thomas above!
Ashton wasn’t wearing a cowboy hat while showing off his country skills, but he was sporting a “Farm Strong” Iowa shirt and an Iowa baseball cap. Clearly he has no shame in his Iowa roots — and we can only imagine how much his fellow Iowans were totally freaking out to witness such an amazing moment!
Singing country in his home state seemingly wasn’t enough for Ashton, either. His country throwback couldn’t happen without a little beer chugging too! After busting out the Garth Brook‘s verse flawlessly, Ashton and Thomas crushed two Budweisers together, making the whole thing even more epic. Man how we wish we could’ve been there, but at least we have this video we can watch on loop!
