Not only was Maci’s pregnancy a surprise, but on the Aug. 28 episode of ‘Teen Mom OG,’ she was also shocked to discover she only has four months to prepare for the baby’s arrival. Plus, Maci was forced to tell Ryan about it, and his reaction was quite surprising.
Believe it or not, Ryan was actually happy to hear Maci‘s expecting another baby. When she told him and his parents about the baby boy in her belly on the Aug. 28 episode of Teen Mom OG, Ryan smiled from ear to ear. He seemed genuinely happy for her (so cute!). She, of course, was stressed out about the whole situation, though. So she and Taylor talked about it and she’s going to quit her part-time job so she can stay home with the three kids and their two dogs, while continuing to run their clothing line.
And it’s a good thing she made that decision when she did because a doctor told Maci and Taylor she was already 21 weeks along in her pregnancy. (Something with the filming timeline seemed off because Maci was HUGE during her doctor’s appointment. There’s no way she didn’t know she was pregnant.)
Anyway, Matt took Amber to his hometown this week, where she finally met one of his family members (two years after they started dating). She ended up meeting his cousin, but as far as Matt’s mom was concerned, he didn’t want her going anywhere near that “satanic” woman.
Then, when it came time to discuss the fallout from Matt’s tweets to Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans, Matt told Amber not to discuss it on camera. And somehow, he convinced her to blame Farrah for the whole situation. (Just call him Matt The Manipulator.)
Speaking of Farrah, she and Sophia visited her mom in Omaha this week, but they also stopped at Daddy Derek‘s grave. While there, Farrah and Sophia sat down for a meal with Derek’s family, and everything was drama-free. The only time Farrah cried was when she later reunited with her mom and went out for drinks with Debra and a friend — Sophia was also there — and she started imagining what her life would have been like if Derek were still alive. (Guess Simon‘s just not cutting it for her.)
Lastly, while Catelynn was busy feeding her daughter Ritz crackers (yet again), Teresa called to tell her they don’t want anything about them mentioned on camera anymore. Catelynn seemed okay with her decision since she didn’t want to jeopardize future visits with Carly, but Tyler refused to be silenced by her and Brandon. He said Carly and the adoption will always be a part of his life, so he’s willing to sacrifice seeing her by continuing to talk about it as much as he pleases. Catelynn called him selfish, but he didn’t quite see it that way. Tyler, obviously, is going to do what he wants to do.
