RiRi just. won’t. quit. Seriously, after two performances at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards you think she would be burned out. But this girl just proved she has truly earned that Video Vanguard Award by rocking her third act of the night. Get the scoop on Rihanna’s performance here.
Rihanna, 28, just completely slayed her third performance of the night when she flawlessly belted out her hits “Needed Me,” “Pour It Up” and “B**h Better Have My Money.” RiRi was looking FIERCE in a black leotard, black knee high boots, multiple chain necklaces and a purple boa thrown over her shoulder. The singer slinked her sexy self around the stage, transitioning from one mega hit to the next, while her backup dancers tried to keep up with the diva. RiRi epically performed with her name projected behind her in jagged letters on a black screen while neon lightning flashed around her. Kim Kardashian was so impressed by RiRi’s performance that she snapped a selfie of herself watching the performance.

Rihanna opened the show by coming out on stage with all the swagger in the world, pulling out her best performances of “Please Don’t Stop the Music”, “Only Girl”, and “We Found Love” wearing an adorable white romper that matched all her backup dancers. But Rihanna really stepped things up in her second performance of the night, when she totally slayed it with performances of “What’s My Name” and “Work,” while sporting black leather jogging pants, a pink silk bra with fluffed up feathers and an epically long black meshy du-rag. FIERCE! But the absolute best part was when she rocked her song “Rude Boy” to the beat of her first EVER hit, “Pon De Replay.”
We can’t believe she was able to outdo those performances with her third one, but there is just something about Rihanna. That girl’s only competition is herself! We cannot wait to see what RiRi does in act four of her epic night. After her first three performances, we refuse to believe anyone else should have been awarded the Video Vanguard Award tonight!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Rihanna’s THIRD performance of the night?
