He might not be nominated for any awards, but Nick Jonas still brought it for the 2016 VMAs. With some help from his boy, Ty Dolla Sign, the pair rocked the award show with their hit song, ‘Bacon.’ Click inside to WATCH!
When Nick Jonas, 23, tells you to throw some bacon on it… you listen. For the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, Nick brought along his friend, Ty Dolla Sign, for a very exciting performance of “Bacon.” The duo took over the famous Tick Tock diner in New York City, which is conveniently located just across from the street from Madison Square Garden. The best part? That when Nick took the performance outside the streets were filled with his fans, and the MSG landmark was lit up behind him. So cool!

There was a lot of speculation that Nick might boycott the VMAs after he ranted on Twitter about not being nominated for any of his incredible music videos. Thankfully Nick is a class act and a true gentleman, so he happily obliged when MTV asked him to perform during the awards show instead.
Nick wasn’t the only Jonas at the VMAs, either. It turns out that his brother, Joe, was nominated thanks to his band, DNCE. The “Cake By The Ocean” singers were so excited about their Best New Artist nomination that they started a viral campaign, and of course Nick took part in order to help his big bro out!
We also love that DNCE were there to make a cameo in Nick’s diner performance, along with social media star The Fat Jew. The guys even took a selfie in the middle of the performance, which you can see below:
