There you have it, folks! We had a sneaking suspicion that Kanye West would use his unrestricted spotlight on the MTV Video Music Awards stage to take one last jab at Taylor Swift after their nasty feud and this was the craziest yet! Here’s the scoop.
Holy moly, Kanye West! The rapper was given 4 minutes to do whatever he wants with at the VMAs on Aug. 28, and he took full advantage! The “creative genius” debuted his new song “Fade” and the accompanying video, but not before getting one last word in the Taylor Swift feud!
Kanye was passionately talking about the terrible violence toward African-American people, when he brought up how insignificant his drama really is in the grand scheme of things. But in doing so, he (perhaps unwittingly) stoked the fire even more. “Last week it was 22 people murdered in Chicago,” he said. “People come to me like… take Taylor. Like, bro, I love all y’all (artists). That’s why I called her.”
Yikes! Back at it again. Kanye clearly didn’t want to talk too much about it, but he definitely wanted to make it known once again that he, in fact, DID clear his “I made that b*tch famous” line with the pop diva before she slammed him over it. Of course, we all already knew that because Kim Kardashian revealed the video proving he was telling the truth, but perhaps he just wanted to address it one more time and get the last word. Clearly the crowd was eating it up, because they chanted “Yeezy, yeezy!” several times throughout his speech, which also addressed his heroes (Puff Daddy), his beautiful wife who is a “real g” according to him, and the scary political climate for African-Americans.
