Oops!…She did it again. Britney Spears’ epic performance of ‘Make Me’ at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will surely go down in history as one of the most iconic moments of all time for the network. But let’s be real — it’s Britney, bitch, so we didn’t expect anything less.
Dressed in a sheer sparkly ensemble with yellow accents, Britney Spears showed off her killer dance moves as she moved around on stage in front of a bunch of giant hand shadows. Then, halfway through the performance of “Make Me,” G-Eazy came out to rap his verse and Britney got down on her knees in front of him to engage in some racy dance moves. And of course, Britney whipped her hair back and forth as she famously has done so many times before on the MTV Video Music Awards stage.
Britney’s performance came immediately after Beyonce‘s, and Kim Kardashian happily introduced the “original princess of pop” before she took the stage, highlighting all of Britney’s past triumphs on the MTV Video Music Awards stage.

The last time Britney performed at the MTV Video Music Awards was in 2007, when she famously flopped her performance of “Gimme More.” Obviously, she had a ton of epic moments before that, including the first time she took the stage in 1999 with NSYNC, when she ripped off her tuxedo outfit in 2000, her 2001 performance with the giant snake, and her 2003 kiss with Madonna — so we had high expectations for Britney’s performance this year. Thankfully, we were not disappointed! In fact, we were thoroughly impressed.
