Democratic Veep candidate Tim Kaine did a great job of being an attack dog for running mate Hillary Clinton after Donald Trump outrageously branded her a ‘bigot. He stopped by ‘The Late Show’ with Stephen Colbert and made such an amazing case for how that ridiculous label is the farthest thing from the truth.
It was a first for Sen. Tim Kaine, 58, as he made his late night TV debut on The Late Show Aug. 25, and he couldn’t have picked a better show, because host Stephen Colbert, 52, has put a major focus on politics in advance of the Nov. general election. He also had the perfect night to be on national TV after Donald Trump, 70, insanely branded Hillary Clinton a ‘bigot’ in both a speech and on CNN.
Stephen noted how as the veep candidate, Tim’s Hil’s attack dog and said about Donald “He called your friend Hillary Clinton a bigot, I’ll take you off the chain right now, go ahead after him,” and boy did he ever! He detailed how both he and Hil worked tirelessly throughout their careers for racial justice, and how Donald has always just been out for himself.
“When Hillary Clinton got out of law school, she was working to help advance racial justice in the juvenile justice system in South Carolina, and fight school segregation in Alabama. And I, about that time, got out of law school, and was battling housing discrimination in the South and in Virginia,” Tim began gracefully before bringing down the hammer on the Donald as the real bigot.
“At his early career Donald Trump was a real estate guy who got sued by the Justice Department for discriminating against people in housing, writing the letter ‘C’ on applications if they were minority,” Tim shared, proving that Donald needs to look in the mirror before calling anyone else a bigot. He then continued, “Hillary Clinton has got a track record, all the way back to being a middle schooler in a Methodist youth group, of trying to advance priorities for others. Donald Trump is for himself.” BAM!
Hillary did some amazing defense of her own earlier in the day, when at a campaign stop in Reno, NV she told the audience “He built his campaign on prejudice and paranoia. He is taking hate groups mainstream and helping a radical fringe take over the Republican party. His disregard for the values that make our country great is profoundly dangerous.”
HollywoodLifers, what do YOU think about Donald’s outrageous bigotry claims? Is he just getting super desperate for attention?
