Iconic musician and record producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, 57, will be one of the stars on Dancing With The Stars season 23, E! News reports. The full cast will be announced live on Good Morning America on Aug. 30.
Babyface is best known for his song “Every Time I Close My Eyes” with Mariah Carey. Over the years, he’s worked with Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Kanye West and Ariana Grande. Babyface has won 11 Grammy Awards.
HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that JoJo Fletcher, former The Fosters star Jake T. Austin, and General Hospital star Emma Samms have all signed on to compete for the Mirrorball Trophy. Amber Rose and Little Women: LA star Terra Jole have also reportedly been cast.
Ryan Lochte has been rumored to be in negotiations to join the show. However, since his Rio robbery scandal blew up in his face, it has been tough for Ryan to seal the deal. We previously reported EXCLUSIVELY that Ryan wants to do the show, but the professional dancers don’t want to dance with him because they don’t want to get voted out first.
Olympic gymnast Simone Biles was one of the stars that everyone wanted to see compete in season 23. Unfortunately, she revealed that a 3-month tour will get in the way of her joining the cast this fall, but she’s hopeful about joining the spring cast! She said she would love to do the show! An insider told us that producers would be “equally happy” to get either Simone or Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky for season 23. Dancing With The Stars season 23 will premiere Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
