Ryan Lochte, 32, has signed a deal with Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops as of Aug. 25, according to an official release from the company. Congrats to him!
Following Ryan’s incident in Rio, his partnerships with multiple companies — including Speedo — were dropped. However, Pine Bros. CEO Rider McDowell reached out to the swimmer to give him a new opportunity, and asks that we forgive Ryan. “We all make mistakes, but they’re rarely given front-page scrutiny. He’s a great guy who has done incredible work with charities,” McDowell pointed out in an official release for the endorsement. “I’m confident that Pine Bros. fans will support our decision to give Ryan a second chance,” he added.
As part of his deal, Ryan will shoot a commercial called “Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops: Forgiving On Your Throat” in the next few weeks. The Olympics may be over, but we’ll be seeing Ryan on our screens again very soon!
