Kanye West will be making a highly anticipated return to the VMAs stage on Aug. 28, and a new report says that he might make up with Taylor Swift during his appearance. Could their ongoing feud be put to rest once and for all? We have the answers!
Kanye West, 39, might just make nice with Taylor Swift, 26, at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, TMZ reports. Kanye “will have free reign over the stage”, sources tell the site, and “show producers are expecting something big…they just have no idea what it will be”. That means Kanye could do anything from introducing a new installment in his 2020 “presidential campaign”, as he announced last time, to settling his beef with Tay Tay!
An insider also tells the site that Kanye has “4 minutes to do with as he pleases. He can rap, sing, dance or even just stay silent…[and] show producers are totally clueless which door he’ll pick”. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if he throws more fuel on the Taylor fire, or decides to make things right with the “Blank Space” singer! You may recall that last year, Kanye more or less stole the show when he received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award and used his speech to announce he’d be running for President in 2020. Classic ‘Ye.
Kanye is nominated in both the Video Of The Year and Best Male Video categories for “Famous”, so there’s absolutely no way Taylor won’t come up in some way or another! We wouldn’t put it past Kanye to somehow get a last word in against Taylor if he gets to make an acceptance speech — though of course, we hope he decides to extend an olive branch instead.
