Talk about the best dad ever! Ben Affleck gave his 10-year-old daughter, Violet, an experience of a lifetime when he treated the youngster to a viewing of the stage play ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.’ The adorable daddy/daughter date even consisted of meeting the entire cast!
Ben Affleck, 44, took his oldest child with estranged wife Jennifer Garner, 44, Violet, 10, to see the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play in London’s West End theater district over the weekend on Aug. 22. And what a magical outing it was! After all, the sweet pair weren’t the only celebs in attendance, AND they got to meet the play’s cast — SO cool!
The Oscar winner’s Suicide Squad costar Margot Robbie, 26, and Glee alum Darren Criss, 29, also attended the performance, which the official social media accounts for the play documented by posting a pic of the guests with the cast and crew. “Margot Robbie, Ben Affleck and Darren Criss met the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this weekend at the Palace Theatre, London. #KeepTheSecrets,” the caption read. Being famous must be nice, right?
It definitely seemed like Violet and Ben had an amazing time too as they smiled from ear-to-ear in the pic. The Gone Girl actor wore a black leather coat while his little girl sported a denim skirt and jacket with a white bow in her hair. Didn’t they make a cute pair? And while this daddy/daughter date was certainly memorable, we can’t help but wonder where Jennifer and the rest of her and Ben’s kids were!
Let’s not forget that back in June 2015, Jen and Ben announced that they were splitting after 10 years of marriage. But since then, the two have been spotted together on multiple occasions and have seemed to be working on their relationship. In fact, in April Jennifer and Ben started renting a house together in the U.K. while Ben films Justice League. So we’re assuming Jennifer and their other kids: Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, were doing something else fun in the area.
“We are definitely a modern family, we’re doing really well,” Jennifer revealed in an interview on NBC’s Today, which took place earlier this month. “He and I are great friends,” she confessed while describing how she and Ben are living their lives uncoupled while co-parenting their children.
Tell us, HollywoodLifers — do you love that Ben treated his daughter to a special Harry Potter outing? Pretty sweet, right?
