So cool! Priyanka Chopra and Jodie Foster must be pretty big Britney Spears fans because they recently paid homage to the queen of pop by recreating one of her biggest hits ever — ‘Toxic!’ The ‘Quantico’ actress enthusiastically sang the lyrics, while Jodie did a serious reading. Watch here!
Britney Spears will release her ninth studio album, Glory, on Friday, Aug. 26, so there’s no better time than now to celebrate the pop icon, and that’s just what Priyanka Chopra and Jodie Foster recently did. For a new episode of “Lyrical Improv with Lynn Hirschberg,” via W Magazine, Priyanka and Jodie performed “Toxic” in two very different ways. For the Quantico actress’ version of the 2004 hit, she sang the lyrics excitedly, but when it was Jodie’s turn, she did a very serious reading of the lyrics, which is pretty hilarious. It reminds us of that time Morgan Freeman did a dramatic reading of a Justin Bieber classic. This is a video you must see — check it out above!
And just when we thought things couldn’t get better, we discovered another video — one of Halle Berry performing “Oops I Did It Again.” For her take, she did a full-on dramatic reading like Morgan Freeman did, and it’s just as amazing. Watch that video below.
We love both of these videos and can’t imagine a better way to celebrate the forthcoming release of Glory. And just because we’ve been busy singing Britney’s latest releases — “Make Me,” “Clumsy,” “Private Show,” and “Do You Wanna Come Over?,” doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate her old hits too. Because let’s face it — she has a lot of them!
