Tory Lanez told us his new music was going to be great! The singer dropped his album ‘I Told You,’on Aug. 19, and great is definitely an understatement. Many of his fans and friends took to Twitter to rave over the music following the album release.
“Big up my bro
@torylanez inspiring to see the journey, one of the most talented I’ve ever met. Go cop the album,” rapper and friend, G-Eazy, who also collaborated on the single, “Drifting” with Tory, 24, said of his new album. But it appears that G-Eazy wasn’t the only one to hear the new record.
An outpouring of support and fan reactions flooded Twitter only hours after the album dropped. “This Tory Lanez project dope af,” one fan tweeted.” “Hey. This
@torylanez album is really really fire,” another chimed in. Many other others glorified the record, suggesting that Tory should follow in Beyonce, 36, and Frank Ocean’s, 28, steps, and release a movie to accompany the music. “That’s not an album, that’s a movie! You really told us @torylanez. thank you,” a fan exclaimed on Twitter. “With all these skits, @torylanez should make a visual album too,” another wrote.

We’re not exactly sure if a visual album is in the cards for Tory, but we aren’t counting it out just yet. For those who haven’t caught up, I Told You is a 28-track album, which features a number of hit singles and skits from Tory. It doesn’t have any features, but it looks like the singer didn’t need any!
The album did happen to drop at a bad time though. The same day as Tory dropped his album, Frank released his visual album, Endless around the same time, which kind of overshadowed Tory’s project. But even without any features and Frank’s album taking over the Internet, Tory still managed to top the charts! According to the singer, his album has peaked at number one under all genres. “Number 1 in all genres. #IToldYou,” Tory captioned a pic he shared on Instagram, showing the charts that are currently on iTunes.
