Michael Phelps has put in his two cents on #LochteGate, and his opinion on the matter might surprise you. Find out why Michael thinks Ryan Lochte will come out on the other side of the Rio Olympics robbery scandal without a scratch!
Michael Phelps, 31, broke his silence over the controversy surrounding Ryan Lochte, 32, on Aug. 19. Whe asked at a Starbucks in Scottsdale, AZ whether he thinks Ryan will “emerge from the controversy unscathed”, Michael replied, “We have good people taking care of it, so hopefully.” Of course, Michael is pretty removed from the whole debacle, though he was still in Rio as the whole alleged robbery went down before heading back to America on Aug. 17. Whether Michael has spoken to Ryan or not since the incident remains to be seen.
The site also reports that Michael stopped to thank fans during the outing as they wished him congratulations, and seemed to be in a great mood. Well, who wouldn’t be after winning all those medals?
Ryan has been at the center of the drama after originally claiming he and three teammates had been held at gunpoint and robbed, only to have it come to light that it didn’t exactly happen like that. You can catch up on the whole thing right here, and see Ryan’s apology below, which he issued on Aug. 19:
As HollywoodLife.com previously told you, legal experts believe that “everyone wants to move forward”, meaning that Ryan is likely to land on his feet. “This will blow over by next week,” Daniel N. Arshack of Arshack, Hajek & Lehrman predicts. Yes, there are more important issues happening in the world, aren’t there?
