How sad. A senior producer for CNN, Matt Null, died suddenly while on an overseas vacation with friends in Barcelona. He was just 34 years old when he passed.
Matt Null, 34, died on Monday, August 15 in Barcelona, Spain while he was vacationing with a group of friends abroad, reports Variety. News of Matt’s passing didn’t break until Wednesday, August 17, though there doesn’t seem to be much information about how he died.
Matt was best known as a senior producer for CNN, where he worked on the morning show Early Start for over three years. Correspondent Christine Romans tearfully broke the news to viewers during their Wednesday broadcast saying, “He was an exceptional producer who was hardworking, dedicated to bringing you, the viewer, news every morning.”

“He is literally the voice in our head every morning. When terrible things happen around the world he is the one who brings it to you with calm and fairness. He is someone who really made a difference in the world through his job,” Christine continued, sharing nothing but high praises for the producer she worked with for so long.
Matt’s former employer, Fox News also released a memoriam in his honor.
Our thoughts remain with Matt’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time. Please leave your condolences in the comments below.
