All hail Queen Kerri! American beach volleyball player Kerri Walsh Jennings snatched a bronze medal in the Rio Olympics on Aug. 17, and we couldn’t be prouder! So now that that’s over, could acting be next for the star player? She tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, right here.
That’s a wrap for Kerri Walsh Jennings at the Rio Olympics! The three-time gold winner didn’t have as much luck this year as she has in the past, but she still snagged bronze against Brazil on Aug. 17. So what will she do now? HollywoodLife.com asked her if filming a Visa commercial gave her the acting bug, and her EXCLUSIVE answer was hilarious but blunt.
“Absolutely not!” she giggled. “Absolutely not. It will be very uncomfortable for me, I am very comfortable in the sand and in my bikini but I don’t have too much dialogue so I will be OK with it. But Visa put me in a commercial in the 2004 Super Bowl and I have shot commercials with super bad ass athletes and they definitely inspired me to win gold so I am grateful all around for it but maybe not enough to continue to pursue acting.”
Bummer! Luckily, she has plenty to keep her busy post-Olympics. “My dream and goal in life is to be the best that I can be and once my Olympic run is over I have no idea if this will be my last Olympics or if I will have another one in me but when my playing career is over and whatever is next I want to kick butt at it! Do it all with love and integrity and I want to continue to evolve as a person, you know it is hard to pin it down and I want to live a diverse life and I want to stay with my core values and it is really cool to have these experiences with Visa because they show you how and what is out there. Who knows maybe I will be crazy enough to get the acting bug, maybe I will want to be in that world but I am not locked down with anything yet. I want to be a rad Mommy and a rad person and a great ambassador for what I am doing!” Keep it up, girl!
