Simone and Aly have gained a lot of experience in a short amount of time as they both were part of the gold-winning women’s all-around team. Also, Aly earned silver, right behind Simone who earned gold in the individual all-around. So these two were like a couple of Olympic veterans heading into this event.
The 2016 Olympics in Rio have been full of highs and lows with many of the games emerging stars coming from the arena of gymnastics. Simone really has been outstanding in almost all of her events and came out firing in this competition. She was looking for redemption after earning bronze in the beam event.
