Simone Biles wasn’t going to leave her gold medals behind — no matter what! The superstar gymnast zoomed back to her room and scooped her prized possessions after a fire alarm rang in Olympic Village. OMG! Watch the chaos unfold, here!
Simone Biles, 19, worked hard to obtain her gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, so it makes sense that she wouldn’t leave without them — even in the face of danger. Simone wrote: “When a fire alarm goes off in your building, grab your medal and gym bag. #everythingisokay.” LOL! The athletes, including the “Final Five” were evacuated during a scheduled training session on Aug. 10, but luckily it was a false alarm. Gabby Douglas, 20, Aly Raisman, 22, Laurie Hernandez, 16, and Madison Kocian, 19, were all seen laughing it up after they made it safely out of the building with their treasured showpieces. Simone even has a move called the “Biles” named after her, so we can see why these medals mean so much to her. She puts in work! Simone fulfilled her wildest dreams on Aug. 11, taking home the gold in the women’s gymnastics all-around. Way to go, girl! With her help, Team USA also wowed the crowd on Aug. 9, winning their second consecutive gold medal in the team event. Talk about a way to leave a legacy!
The “Final Five” have been catching everyone’s attention, considering they’ve been called the best women’s gymnastics team ever to attend the Olympics. Even Taylor Swift, 26, recently took to Twitter to congratulate the ladies on their historic win. Stars like Zac Efron, 28, Fifth Harmony, Leslie Jones, 48, Elizabeth Banks, 42, have also voiced their amazement in the ladies’ abilities as well. Keep up the good work!
