This is disgraceful. A video of former Toronto mayor, Rob Ford, smoking crack has been released to the public five months after his death, and you can watch it right here.
Rob Ford admitted to smoking crack while he was mayor of Toronto in 2013, but now, the video that proves his illegal doings has been released to the public. In the clip, posted by TMZ, the politician is seen lighting up and smoking while his friend records him. Rob did not appear to know he was being filmed until the very end of the footage.
The video also contains extremely explicit language, with Rob’s friend in the background dropping an expletive-filled rant about Canada’s current Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. “He’s a fat d***,” Rob even adds at one point. Watch the video above to see it all go down.
It’s pretty hard to hear what the late mayor is even saying in the video, as his words are incredibly slurred, but there’s no mistaking that he’s doing drugs. This video was previously kept private throughout the extortion trial of Sandro Lisi, one of Rob’s friends, but since the case was dropped, the footage was released to the public (Sandro was charged for trying to extort a member of a gang to obtain the clip).
Rob passed away in March, two years after a tumor was found in his abdomen, and he is mostly remembered for the negative headlines surrounding this controversy.
“Yes, I have smoked crack cocaine,” Rob admitted after the speculation began in 2013. “But, no — do I? Am I an addict? No. Have I tried it? Um, probably in one of my drunken stupors, probably approximately a year ago.” He continued to insist that he is by no means a crack “addict,” but did apologize for his “mistake.”
