The couple that paddle boards together, stays together. But are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom ready for marriage? HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE details surrounding the couple’s relationship, following their PDA-packed vacation in Italy. Keep reading to see if Orlando will propose soon!
Couples in Hollywood are known to move fast. Hell, Khloe Kardashian married Lamar Odom after knowing him for ONE month. But lovers Katy Perry, 31, and Orlando Bloom, 39, are swimming — and paddle boarding — at a different speed. After all, what’s the rush when you’re young, rich, and beautiful? “She really is having a great time with Orlando, but she wants to wait with marriage because she has already done that and it failed, and the same thing has happened for him,” tells a source EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com. The “Rise” singer was previously married to crude comedian Russell Brand, and The Pirates of the Caribbean actor was wed to Aussie model Miranda Kerr. But have they learned from their past mistakes?
“They really want to keep having fun and don’t really want to add any titles to their relationship,” continues the source. “They are totally fine with how things are going and marriage isn’t going to change that for the better! It really is the best case scenario for both not to be married right now. They’re happy with the way things are.” Well, that settles it, you won’t be seeing Katy and Orlando exchanging “I dos” any time soon!
Katy has been very vocal about the issues that ended her marriage to Russell in 2012 — she even wrote a song about it called, “Circle The Drain,” which talks about mothering him. Russell had a fragile past with drug and alcohol abuse, and one day, Katy grew tired of babysitting. They were married for roughly two years. The reasons behind Orlando and Miranda’s divorce after three years together were a little more hush-hush. Some reports say Orlando had a drinking problem, others say Miranda was unfaithful and flirted up a storm with Justin Bieber.
The most important thing Orlando and Katy need right now is a HEALTHY relationship, not a whirlwind one. So far, Katy is shaping up to be a HUGE hit with the English hunk’s son, Flynn, and Orlando is leaving his history of bar fights in the past. That’s not to say they won’t EVER make it to the alter, but they’ve only been dating since Feb., so let’s all take a chill pill.
HollywoodLifers, do you think it’s smart that Katy and Orlando are taking it slow?
